Our Story

Hi, we’re Vanessa and Bob, owners and creators of Tom Foolery Coffee Company.

It all started for us back in 2013 when we realised our jobs were taking us away from the place that we love, our beautiful hometown of Shoreham by Sea.  But what to do about it? What we needed was somewhere to sit down, preferably somewhere beautiful, and preferably over a great cup of coffee, and talk about how we were going to change it. When we realised that there wasn’t anywhere like this in Shoreham, it became obvious what we should do: build it ourselves! We opened the doors to the Tom Foolery shop in May 2014 and our ethos has remained the same ever since: to bring our customers truly delicious coffee, delivered with great customer service in a fabulous environment. Since then, our coffee journey has taken us all over the world, and we select all of our coffees personally, so you can be sure you’ll be enjoying fantastic flavour, cup after cup.
